    Great machine

We’ve had a few espresso machines over the years but this one is definitely our favorite! It takes up the least amount of space we’ve ever seen for any espresso machine we’ve had…but it works really well and powerfully. My husband said it’s so much more powerful than the machines we’ve had in the past. He makes killer espresso drinks (lattes, mochas) with it. It looks attractive too.

    Works great.

We had to guess on a few things on how to use it but we got it going. I think it made good expresso. The amount of expresso that comes out for two cups seems low to me. It is easy to use heats up quickly. Shows the water temp witch is nice for when making a expresso then frothing milk witch needs to have hot steam. I have had no problem so far with the unit and hope it last.

    Great for a Budget!

This Expresso machine is a great budget option for those who want a quality cup of coffee without spending thousands. You can tell immediately that it’s made well with super sturdy parts of the machine. It comes with instructions to tell you step by step how to use it and they were very helpful. When you get the hang of it, you can make a full speciality drink in less than five minutes. It’s easy to switch over from making Expresso to steaming milk with a switch. Every piece comes apart with ease to clean. It’s better than any cup of coffee you’d make with a standard household coffee maker. My only con I would say is that the machine will only work with short glasses. It’s pretty compact and the area that you work with is small. It’s fine if you just use the right size cups.Lindsey Williams

greaespresso maker, easy to use but a bit hard to clean

The media could not be loaded.

It does need practice to use this. The machine looked very nice and had a nice stainless steel look to it. It is a bit tough to use especially the milk frother. The milk frother piece is also a bit tough to clean. I’m trying to teach my teenager to make her own espresso but till now it’s still too complicated for her.The steamer is the hardest part for her especially because the know really doesn’t show if it’s on or off. You can’t place a big mug in it and it only accepts the short espresso mugs as the length is short. Even with the short espresso mug it still is a bit hard for me to take the mug out when filled with espresso.

Not well suited for beginners – not as good as others I have used

This is only my 2nd Expresso machine (my girlfriend commandeered my previous one) – so I still consider myself a rookie. In comparison to my other machine (which was more feature-rich; and more expensive), this one was not in the same league. It was difficult to set up and use, and I still am not sure I am doing it right. I am used to the coffee in my old machine coming out with a nice crema, but in this machine the crema was almost non-existent and the flavor of the coffee was nowhere near what I am used to. Also, the frothing wand was difficult to use as well as it shoots out more water than steam. Overall – very disappointed.

Makes an excellent espresso, even with basic beans.

On the day that I got this, I forgot that I had nothing but a bag of ground Cafe Bustelo in the house. It was gonna have to do, I guessed. I have a bit of experience using home espresso machines, so this one was pretty easy to use. However, I do wish that the instructions were either more thorough, or as some companies do, included a link to a YouTube video tutorial. That said, I made it through the first cup without much of a sweat, and the end product was pretty tasty. I later made a soy latte (lactose intolerance–ughh), which was borderline coffeeshop quality despite the fact that I was still using ground Cafe Bustelo. The steamer pumped out plenty of steam to make that soymilk hot and a tad foamy. That evening, I went out and got some locally roasted expresso beans, which I’d use for my caffeine jolt the next morning. I ruined the first batch by grinding too coarsely. The second time, the results weren’t borderline–they were actually excellent. My wife thought that the espresso was a little too bitter, but I disagreed. If you are a coffee hound who wants to expand your game into espresso, but don’t have $1,300 to keep up with the proverbial Joneses, this machine is absolutely one to consider. One note to make: the machine advertises 20 bar of pressure, and the gauge does indeed go that high. However, the machine only runs around 8-10. It’s my layman’s understanding, though, that 10 bar is more than enough pressure, and that going higher may actually make for an inferior pull.

It’s a bit pricey, but makes a good cup or two of espresso. I like having the option to make a double cup at once without a bulky machine. It saves time in the morning. It also has a timer that counts the seconds it takes for brewing. It actually didn’t take a full minute to brew 2 cups. It’s also a bit loud when brewing.

Big machine in a little machine’s body

I got this espresso machine for the size. It’s small and would therefore take up less room on the counter. Then I tested this bad boy to see if it deserved the spot of honor on my counter. The directions are easy to understand and follow. Setting up and using this machine went quickly. It’s easy to see the digital readout and can quickly make one- or two-cup servings. The foam wand worked well and I had a hot cup of cappuccino in no time. Certainly a lot faster than hopping in the truck and heading to our closest coffee bar.I really liked the machine and it did fit the space better. What I didn’t like about it is that I can’t get my favorite mug to fit. I have smaller, expresso size cups I can use, but it’s faster for me to have the coffee go directly into what I want to drink it from. The tradeoff to that is that because the machine is smaller, the frothing steam wand sits lower. I can froth my milk much easier in the metal espresso pitcher I like to use. This is a space saver and works like it’s supposed to, easily and efficiently.

    No complaints!

I used to work as a professional barista, so my espresso standards are high. This machine delivers. It’s not made to pull dozens of shots a day, but it gets the job done, and well for a home machine. All parts are super easy to clean, it’s slim and stores well. I love it.

Big expresso taste from a small machine!

For the past month I’ve been pushing expresso through this machine and its really delivered some great quality beverages.Great things about this unit:1. Simple as can be to set up and get running. Read the instructions of course but just looking at it was enough for me. The buttons for me were obvious and easy to use right away. After a quick cleaning I was making expresso in no time.2. Easy to clean! Everything disassembles nicely and washes up easily. I’m pretty neat when I make drinks but you can pull the drop tray apart and clean it easily as well as the brewing cup. I hate when machines get dirty and clean up is painful.3. Little extras that matter. There’s a dosing funnel (that fits REALLY tightly) for the brewing cups that helps you get all the expresso in the right spot. There’s rubber suction cups on the feet that work great, holding the unit to the counter top. The water reservoir is easy to fill and replace. A nice scoop/tamper is included to make things easy.4. It makes a really good expresso drink. As with many units, you have to put in a good grind with a good tamp, but when I got that sorted with my grinder it was good times and great drinks.5. Really solid feeling construction on every part. Some challenges (because its not perfect):1. The machine is a little louder than I had hoped for. If you’re looking to brew a beverage and get out of the house in the morning quietly, this might not be your best pick. There is a fair amount of noise during brewing but only for about 20 seconds.2. The price might be a touch high but honestly, for the quality drinks its putting out right now I can hardly complain. All in all, this is a big win for me and my expresso habits!

    Terribly hard to use

I found this Neretva 20 Bar Espresso Machine with Milk Frothing Steam Wand impossibly hard to use. The instructions included were not clear or useful. I mostly fumbled making my first espresso. It was good and hot, but not super hot. I would have liked the temperature of the espresso hotter because the milk foam always bring the temp down. The frother is disgusting to use because it is impossible to clean. I used it once and decided that I would never be able to clean it well enough to continue using it.

Good quality low volume espresso machine

It’s a little pricey but I do enjoy the purely stainless steel look and it does make good coffee (great, even 🙂 ) so no real complaints there. From the other reviews I am a little worried about the machine’s longevity, but I have also read that they have good customer service so as long as that is still true a year or two from now, then its a good buy.

I finally have my own Espresso Machine!

I love lattes and cappuccinos, but those were always special occasion drinks ordered at a restaurant. I would never have purchased an espresso machine due to the typical high price and the fact that espresso isn’t a daily drink for me.While I did order this as a Vine reviewer, having used it I would absolutely purchase this considering its price point of $130. I have NEVER used an espresso machine before, but the instructions walked me through the process easily. I read the instructions twice and then read them step by step as I made my first cup. Pictures is my very first attempt with “fancy” steamed milk in the shape of a cumulus cloud. LOL.The only critique I have is because I’m a newb. The first setup and priming of the steam wand tells users to turn on the steam dial until water streams out. Well, no mention of putting a cup under the wand which immediately spouted a stream of water. Again, this may seem obvious, but I was following step by step, so it didn’t occur to me to put a cup under the wand. Would be a nice addition to the instructions for new users.

    Great machine for the price!

The media could not be loaded.

For the price, this machine is amazing! Simple to use and does what it is suppose to do, make good espresso. Of course, 7/8 of what makes good espresso is the beans and grinder, so as long as you have both of those dialed in, this machine will not disappoint. A buddy of mine is a professional roaster and came over to test out the machine for me and he was very surprised with how impressed he was with the quality of the espresso coming out. Definitely not what you’re gonna get out of a high-end machine, but at this price point, the grinder is more expensive than the machine. 🤫 great machine to start out with at a price point that won’t break the bank. I’d suggest that you take the extra money you save on this machine and invest in a high quality grinder, so you’re able to put the best quality ingredients into the machine.Build quality is decent, mostly plastic parts. You do need to take care when you locking the portafilter on as the machine itself will flex and twist if you put too much strength behind it. Overall definitely would recommend as a starter machine for someone who is just beginning to make espresso at home.

    I loved the product

With its impressive 20-bar pressure system and 1350W motor, this machine delivers rich and flavorful espresso, latte, and cappuccino with ease.Equipped with a milk frothing steam wand and a visible temperature display, it allows for precise control over every aspect of the brewing process, ensuring optimal flavor and texture. The detachable 44 oz water tank adds convenience to refills, while the sleek silver design adds a touch of elegance to any kitchen countertop.Overall, the Neretva Espresso Machine is a must-have for coffee lovers looking to elevate their at-home brewing experience. With its combination of power, precision, and style, it’s sure to become a beloved staple in any kitchen.

    Mold in your coffee

Bought thus for the wife for valentine’s day. She started noticing discoloration when cleaning where the coffee goes. This went on for a few days. That and she started getting sick every time she had a coffee. Sore thought, feeling like crap. She bought a coffee this morning and passed on using the machine and felt great all day. I recommend not purchasing this machine. We have never had this problem with other espresso machines. Also our house had a full house filtration on it. So has nothing to do with the water since we do everything else with the water.

Coffee So Good, You Might Just Need a Bathroom Break!

This Neretva 20 Bar Espresso Machine isn’t messing around, pulling shots so smooth and strong, they might just have you running to the nearest bathroom! With 20 bars of pressure, it’s like having a professional barista right in your kitchen, whipping up espresso that’ll make you question every cup you’ve had before. The milk foaming steam wand takes your lattes and cappuccinos to the next level, and with a 1.8L water tank, you’ll be brewing up a storm without constantly refilling. If you’re ready to make coffee so good it’ll literally shake things up, this machine’s got your back (and your morning routine)!

Good Machine But Best For Occasional Use

I’ve been using this espresso maker daily for about two months now, so I feel like I’ve gotten to know its best functions and quirks. Overall, I do like it and think it’s quite easy to use, but is probably not the best for beginners — and the price point is definitely more meant for beginners so it’s walking a line. It gets hot, but not THAT hot. Again, things that as a beginner or with the intention to use this machine once in a while probably wouldn’t make much of a difference, but if this is going to be your daily machine you’ll really start to notice. As others have said, the immediate most important note is that the unit is not tall, and so you are very limited in the size of the cup you’re using. This hasn’t been that big of a deal to me because I usually create by beverage in a ceramic cup and then transfer it to my travel mug, but if this wasn’t a part of my routine this would probably drive me crazy.I did not receive a milk froth pitcher in my package.

Makes a Good Espresso and Very Suitable for Tight Spaces

My wife has been after an Espresso machine for some time, but we didn’t have a lot of room to fit one in. So, when I saw this Neretva Espresso machine which had a small form factor, I ordered it.The machine does indeed have a small form factor compared to others we have seen. Excluding the steamer, the dimensions are (L)12″ x (W) 4.75″ x (H)11″ or 30cm x 12cm x 28cm. For us that was an ideal size and it fitted on the counter next to our coffee machine without a problem. The machine has a decent sized cord which is about 36″ or 91cm long and has suction cup feet. It comes with an instruction manual.Firstly, let me say that neither of us has ever owned an Espresso machine before so we didn’t know where to start. So, helpful instructions would have been nice.First usage info was there and we followed that, but when it came to actually making an espresso the instruction manual did not make a lot of sense. Also, there was what I now know is called a dosing funnel with the machine. That was not mentioned anywhere in the manual. I looked up what it was online and followed what I learned there and quite frankly its fit onto the portafilter was ludicrously tight. A real pain to try and get on and an even bigger pain to remove if you did force it on.I’m glad this device had sucker feet as the portafilter was a really tight fit and the feet helped it stay in place but even so I needed to hold the machine tight, or it would have tipped. After some trial and error, we did manage to get an espresso from it, and it did make a good one. One thing to bear in mind is that the drip tray is only 4″ or 10cm wide and fitting two cups on there was a balancing act. You would be better off using a “shot glass” style if you want to make two cups.Overall, I do like this machine – it makes a really good espresso – and the form factor is great. For a beginner the instructions could be a lot better. If you’re looking for a machine that makes good espresso and you don’t have a lot of space this one is definitely worth considering.

I’m no barista, but this makes tasty coffee

I have a little experience with making espresso and even with that I was able to make a tasty cappuccino! This unit is much more compact than I thought it would be, which is really nice because my counter space is limited. It is quick to heat up water for brewing espresso or making steam. The water tank has pretty good capacity so it can last for a few days before needing a refill. It pulls espresso shots quickly and pretty evenly from what I can see. It has two modes and two screens for making one or two shots. After brewing, I recommend having a towel on hand to clean out the top of the chamber as coffee can stick to the top.I have two complaints with this unit. First, since the unit is small and light, it makes it really difficult to remove the filter. The filter takes about a sixth of a turn to secure in place tightly, however in order to get it in or out, it moves the entire machine so you need to hold it in place. Secondly, and I know this kind of comes with the territory, but when you first turn on the steam, you need another vessel to catch the water. It squirts out a pretty large amount of water before you get to steam. Otherwise I have little to complain about. This seems to be a really nice machine on a budget and really helps you get your caffeine fix!

    Great value

I love coffee and this espresso machine has really added to my consumption. My favorite part is how easy it is to clean. Cleanup is a breeze. So far, everything that has been brewed has been really flavorful. I also love the frothing wand. I can make cappuccino’s very easily. I wish it was a little quieter but thats something I can overlook.

Great for Making Espresso, Lattes, or Cappuccino at Home!

I enjoy a good cup of espresso after dinner, and my husband likes lattes and cappuccinos, so I thought this would be a good machine to try. This espresso machine is very easy to use, with a simple control panel and clear instructions, and works great for making lattes, cappuccinos, and espressos at home. This machine has a 20-bar pressure design, and comes with a professional milk frother for creating smooth and creamy foam. The crema on top of an espresso is, in my opinion, the best part of an espresso, and this machine makes a decent amount of crema. This espresso machine allows you to choose between one or two shot options, depending on your preference. It has a 1.8-liter water tank that can brew multiple cups of coffee before needing to be refilled. The tank is easy to remove for cleaning. There is also a removeable drip tray which is also easy to clean. This espresso machine has a stainless steel design, which blends well with my other kitchen appliances. It is compact, so it doesn’t take up too much room on my countertop, but is also lightweight, making it easy to transport. We are happy to be able to now enjoy good quality espresso, latte and cappuccino coffees at home!

    Love this machine!

This is my first espresso machine so I don’t have much to compare it to, but if I’m comparing it to a keurig, I will take this over it any day. Some of the other reviews stated they didn’t get their milk pitcher. Mine came with one and the milk steamer is my favorite thing about this. I have no idea how to make a good espresso yet, but I like that I can keep trying with this! I’ve drank more coffee in the last couple weeks since having this than I’ve ever drank prior. Not sure its a good thing but that also means I’m saving so much from not having to buy coffee from that green logo coffee shop. Its super easy to clean, easy to use. Only thing is it takes a minute or so to be ready to use once you turn it on, but I’m usually getting the coffee grinds and milk ready during that time anyways. I just have to remember to turn the machine on first while I’m doing that.Another double shot coming up!

    Very nice and compact

I’ve never used an expresso machine before but after following a few tutorials I was able to get the hang of it! This was extremely easy to use and produced such a beautiful flow. The coffee tasted great too!

    I love coffee!

I’ve had this machine for a few weeks, I wanted to use it, all of it, to be sure I gave it an accurate review. This is my first espresso machine so I’m a novice. This is perfect for a first time owner. I made myself an espresso, was very good, then I tried a cappuccino but failed miserably with the frother. I watched a few videos on how to use that as well as types of coffee, etc. and found a bit of helpful advice in each.Bottom line is the machine is wonderful, it works well and is pretty. It is smaller than I’d thought but I love that since I have limited counter space. I love coffee and this really makes my whole coffee experience so much better. I live in a small town and we don’t have any drive-thru coffee places (Starbucks) around so we use this, save money and get just the flavors and products we want. This machine is my new favorite toy!

    Love the look and Versatility

I ordered this because my wife and I only really only use the Keurig at home. We wanted to have more variety with our coffees, especially on the weekends. I love how many different types you can make with this machine: coffee, espresso, latte, cappuccino, etc. I also love that it comes with a milk frother. I also love the look of this espresso machine. Nice enough to leave it out on the countertop. One thing I noticed is, it seems too short to put a regular sized coffee mug underneath. Maybe I am doing something wrong.Makes great all different kinds of coffee!

    Wonderful espresso machine

The design of this stainless steel espresso machine is sleek and stylish, adding a touch of elegance to our kitchen. It is very easy to both assemble and to clean. It’s also very easy to use — the controls are intuitive and simple to understand (when using the machine for the first time, be sure to follow the instructions on the attached sticker). The size is perfect, because it doesn’t take too much space on our kitchen counter. Our first time making espressos worked out great. We don’t drink coffee every day, but we enjoy an espresso or cappuccino once or twice a week. Overall, this is a very good espresso machine at a very affordable price. Recommended!

    Best gift to myself ever!

This espresso maker has saved me so much money! I used to constantly run to coffee shops and now I can make my own lattés in the comfort of my own home! This is a pretty straight forward machine. Love the ability to make single or double shots. Easy to clean drip tray which is nice. And it makes the perfect espresso! The machine itself is half plastic/half stainless steel. Easy to wipe down, easy to fill water. It’s the perfect machine for me, really. And with all those wonderful comments comes a few annoyances. The espresso arm itself is a little bit stiff when you first use it. And even several uses after. You really got to put some muscle into pushing it over to lock it into place. Also, this came with no shot glasses at all for the espresso to flow into but did come with the milk steamer cup. The instructions were a little vague for my liking, as someone who figures stuff out easily it was fine but for someone else this might create a struggle. Milk steamer is a little bit of a mystery still to me but again “vague instructions” don’t help much.Overall, this is worth it! I use this 2 times a day and I make the BEST homemade lattes now. If nothing else, it saves you a lot of time and money!

    Wife loves it

My wife loves using this thing. Its easy to set up, use and clean for the most part. The catch tray is detachable so that makes that part easy, the arm is easy to clean after use but be sure to do as it says and empty/clean it right after use because your grounds will brick up like a rock. As far as cleaning the inside it works just like any other coffee machine, you can buy tabs and such to run all the plumbing up. I do love the compacts size also since we have limited counter space. Honestly our coffee machine is bigger then this espresso machine is. For the price you can’t beat this little machine, if you love espresso I would recommend trying this out and probably save yourself some money from getting them at coffee shops.

    So far I like it!

I’ve just started using the Neretva espresso machine and so far, it’s fantastic! Its 20-bar pressure system and 1350W boiler make brewing barista-style coffee at home or in the office a breeze. The professional milk frothing feature allows for creating beautiful latte art, adding a special touch to each cup. Its compact design fits perfectly in my kitchen, and it’s very easy to clean. I’m looking forward to exploring more with this machine, but as of now, it’s definitely a 5-star experience!

Makes a great espresso if used right!

The media could not be loaded.

This espresso machine is not super beginner friendly but with the right combination I was able to get a nice, consistent espresso with very good crema. The machine has a nice stainless steel finish and looks very nice on my kitchen counter. It’s very simple to use, with just 4 buttons and the hot water/steam knob. I love that the water tank detaches for easy refilling. The machine heats up to espresso making temp in about 30 seconds and about a minute for steam, which I have been happy with. My only complaint is that the portafilter cups are really hard to get out once you press them into the portafilter. You need to have long nails or a knife handy to pry it out. Also I recommend buying a metal tamper (51mm) because while the plastic one will do, it’s a hair small and you have to press a lot harder to get a good press. Now remember, even though this is a “20 bar” machine, you want to be at 9 bar for the best results. The machine has a startup stage where it first pressurizes to 5 bar and then it begins pushing water through the filter. After that it should theoretically climb to 9 bars and then stay there. I was able to achieve this, as seen in the video I uploaded, but only after a good bit of experimenting. The steam wand is very easy to use and I was able to make a good foam the first time around with it.The main factors to getting a good crema is the amount of grounds you use, the grind size, the tamper press, and the most important in my opinion, the coffee beans you choose. Also it takes a few seconds to reach 9 bar, so if you do a single shot, you’ll be at 9 bars for a smaller percent of the time than if you do a double shot, so I recommend doing a double. Just buy a metal tamper (51mm) and press firmly and never worry about the tamper as a factor again. For the amount of grounds you should use, I recommend just following the manuals suggested amounts, I used 16g for a double in the video and it was perfect, definitely get a scale and weigh it for consistency. For the coffee beans, if you aren’t getting much crema no matter how much you change the grind size, just switch to a different bean. I spent a while at first changing different factors and I wasn’t getting hardly any crema, but I switched to a different bean and immediately got a bunch. Also you will get more crema if you grind a full bean yourself rather than buying pre-ground, so get a manual/automatic burr grinder. Finally once I was getting decent crema, I adjusted the grind size until my steady state was 9 bars. If it goes higher go for a coarser grind, and if lower than 9 make the grind finer.Overall very nice espresso machine that will make a good cup of espresso given the right factors are accounted for. If you are looking for something that will make a perfect espresso no matter what you do, go buy a Nespresso, this machine does require thought and a little extra work to get it right, but I think that’s where the fun is. The machine is well made and looks very nice, my only complaint is the portafilter cups are difficult to remove.

    Love the compact design.

I am a “coffee snob.” There, I said it. I only drink espresso or a latte or mochas. I have a superautomatic machine at my house, but visiting and traveling is very costly (and inconvenient) when it comes to my morning “coffee” and afternoon “coffee.” When I found this machine (ordered it, received it) I was THRILLED! The machine has a compact design and it’s easy to travel with. The machine also makes great shots of espresso and that frother works very well. I am very happy with this machine.

    Amazing little machine

My husband had a espresso maker before we met that he really liked. When I saw this one and how compact it was I thought it would be perfect for him. I have never made espresso before, but he has experience. It was very easy to set up and it comes with detailed instructions so you can follow it step-by-step. For anyone who has no idea what they’re doing this is very user friendly. I absolutely love that it takes up very little space on my small counter. It also suctions to the counter to prevent it from moving. It works well, he goes to work early in the morning and always makes a cup of espresso when he comes home. Much better than having to buy from a coffee shop.

    Slim machine for tight spaces

I like that I can fit this espresso machine next to my Keurig and grinder. It has a digital temperature read out and I was impressed that it got to 198° in less than a minute after turning on. The first espresso I made did not produce, I think I tamped it too much. I also had some pre-ground espresso lying around so I used that and I think it may be too fine ground. There is a grind calibration picture in the booklet so I will experiment to see how fine I need to get it to make the perfect shot.

Do you hate getting up and going to the coffee store just to get your coffee? This is it. This is your answer. This has been a game changer for me and my caffeine habits. Fire Hazard!!

110 days after using this machine, making 1 cup of espresso per day is my usual, it started to emit a plastic smoke while using the milk frother. The smoke started approximately 50 seconds into the process and the machine got very hot and more smoke began to roll out of it. I unplugged it and went to get my fire extinguisher just in case unplugging it was not enough. It did not catch on fire however, but had I not unplugged the machine, I am certain it would have. DO NOT BUY THIS DANGEROUS PIECE OF (S) EQUIPMENT!!

Frother barely froths mainly heats milk. Looks really lovely

The media could not be loaded.

Loved how it looks. Frother is super noisy (see video… ) barely gets any froth mainly just heats milk.May return for that reason. Espresso maker is good. There are suction cups on the bottom of the unit so it doesn’t slip all over the place. I got it for a great price … lightening deal, so I’ll see how it is over the next couple of days.Update 1 week later. Decided it’s fabulous I’ve figured the foam situation… if you sink the steam tube all the way inside it makes the loudest noise but you don’t need to just let it surf the top of the milk. Way it makes less noise and foam the milk also using a different container to put the milk in allows the milk to whisk around and foam up.It still switches to the E2 code every time you turn off the steamer not thrilled about that but I’ll get over it.I bought a lightning panel and got it for $90 out the door so I can’t complain.
